Alpha Phi Alpha was founded on an Ice Cold Tuesday on December 4, 1906 on the campus of Cornell University.

​The founders of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity ,Inc. are 7 Great Men who are known as the "Jewels". These 7 men are Henry Arthur Callis, Charles Henry Chapman, Eugene Kinckle Jones, George Biddle Kelly, Nathaniel Allison Murray, Robert Harold Ogle, & Vertner Woodson Tandy
